Day 6 - Innsbruck, Austria

Today we backtracked a little, past Salzburg where we were before. We had a plan on where to stay tonight, but it didn't work out, so we needed to go to a different city. We picked Innsbruck, Austra which ended up being a good choice. It is a quaint (though big) city nestled in the Austrian Alps in a valley between many mountains. It hosted the Olympics in 1964 and 1976, though we had not previously heard of it. We visited a Hapsburg Palace where they keep a bunch of old armory from the Medeival period. Then we saw an Olympic ski jump. We saw a few more things in Innsbruck, but the definite highlight was a "Traditional Tirolean nights" show. (Tirol is the name for this area of Austria.) At this event we saw yodeling, traditional dances, and they played that traditional Austrian horn which is like 12 feet long. When we can, we'll upload a video of the yodeling.
