Day 16 - Rome, Italy

We started the day by visiting the Spanish steps. After that we headed to the Vatican where we toured St. Peter's Basilica and the Sistine Chapel. It was ridiculous how many people were there. We got separated at one point in the basilica and it took about 10-15 minutes to find each other again amidst all the people. The Sistine Chapel was a little bit of a let down for me (Michael). I had always imagined that the famous painting by Michelangelo was enormous, but I found out that it is actually quite small. After the Vatican, we went to the Catacombs, after which we ended the day. We went out again at night to see the Trevi fountain and the Colosseum lit up. In the end, Rome was quite enjoyable.
This is a video (though not high quality) of the Catacombs.

The ceiling of the Sistine Chapel. If you look toward the middle, you can see Michelangelo's famous fresco.

I took this picture while Taylor was throwing her coin in the Trevi Fountain. You can see the copper streak of her coin.

This is normally what we look like at the end of the day!!!
