Day 13 - Southern Italy (and Naples)

Today we arrived in Bari, Italy in the morning from the ferry that we caught in Greece. Last night the only accommodations we could get on the ferry were airplane-type seats. So, we decided to rough it a little. We actually were fine since there were very few people on the ferry and we got to sprawl out across 3-4 seats each. It was a rough night, but we made it. Today we arrived in the port of Bari an hour late. It worked out well because we intended to have bus tickets to Naples, but being so late we would have missed the bus. Fortunately, we were unable to book the bus tickets in Greece, so we didn't make a booking we would have missed due to a late ferry. Instead, we took a 2 hour train and a 4 hour bus to Naples. It was a long ride, but we would find out it was worth it. Tonight we're staying in the nicest place so far. It is a hotel (in the true, American sense) rather than a hostel like we've been staying in.
