Israel - Day 13

Today we went to Megiddo first. As I wrote in the last post, this is the spot where it all will end. Ashley and I sat on the mountain overlooking the Jezreel Valley (where the battle of Armageddon will actually take place) and we read Revelation 16-22.

Next we went to the Harod Spring. This was the spring where Gideon reduced his army for the final time. The men were separated by how they drank the water from the spring and only one group actually went to battle. We read the Biblical account and focused on the fact that God likes to use those who are insignificant in the eyes of the world to do great things for Him.

After that we went to the cliffs of Arbel overlooking the Sea of Galilee. From here we could see pretty much the whole Sea of Galilee. After that, we hiked down the cliffs. There was one point where the decline was about 75 degrees. They had cables and footholds fastened into the cliff at this spot, but we ended up hiking down about 1200 ft.

We got back to our new home for the next three nights which is a resort on the Sea of Galilee. Our room is about 200 ft. from the water and it's wonderful to jump in the water after a long day of hiking in triple-digit weather.
