Israel - Day 10

We spent the night at the Masada Guest House which is at the base of Masada. We got up at 4:00 in the morning to start the trek up the 1,300 foot cliffs to reach Masada which was Herod the Great's "plan Z." If all else failed, he planned on marching his troops out here, climbing up the mountain for an easily defensible stronghold.

After that we went to the Dead Sea and floated in it for a while. Then we moved a little farther North and did ANOTHER hike up Nahal David (David River) to see a beautiful waterfall. We ended the day at Qumran which was also neat. Since internet seems to be scarce at the places we've been staying lately, loading pictures on the sight is impossible right now. We'll edit these posts later to add pictures.
